An Orvieto made with the best grapes of the year from some of our oldest vineyards, Tragugnano is a notably complex wine which benefits from several years' ageing.
Pale yellow with natural golden highlights. In its first year its bouquet is sweet and warm with a fragrance of wild mustard flowers and vanilla; maturity reveals stronger scents such as wild mint, sage, thyme and resins. In the mouth it is dry but rounded, complex and persistent.
A wine of distinct character, its mellowness blends well with and enhances the flavours of food. Delightful as an aperitif accompanied by tomato and basil bruschetta, fresh pecorino cheese or mozzarella, at table we suggest serving it with asparagus risotto, fettuccini with butter and sage, gnocchi "alla romana", spaghetti in a tuna or tomato sauce, chicken or aubergines (eggplant) stuffed with mozzarella and tomato.
