These enigmatic people, who even before the Romans intuited the alchemical magic of viticulture, left behind not only tombs and frescoes, but a living legacy in the flavor and soul of the wines we call ours today. IGT Civitella d’Agliano was born in 1995 in the area of ancient southern Etruria, dominated by the cities of Volsinii (now Orvieto) and Nova Volsinii, today’s Bolsena.
Merlot always amazes by being powerful and delicate at the same time, capable of evolving over time, developing increasingly intriguing nuances: an invitation to explore more deeply the indissoluble bond between man, land and vineyard. Civitella Rosso combines the extraordinary adaptability of Merlot with a land capable of giving a strong identity to its wines.
