100% Grechetto

Sergio Mottura’s passion for Grechetto reached its peak in the late 60s, with the creation of the company’s first modern vineyards: an act of faith in the vine, its land and its potential. These new vines, rather than being purchased from specialized nurseries, were carefully selected by local sharecroppers, men and women who had cultivated Grechetto stocks of exceptional organoleptic quality for generations. Thus Grechetto plants, which had drawn nourishment from these lands for centuries, became the heart and soul of the new winemaking project.
The “Poggio della Costa” vineyard emerges as a symbol of this profound bond with the past and with the land: a meeting point between the wisdom of agricultural tradition and the innovative vision of Sergio Mottura. This vineyard becomes the theater of an agriculture that looks to the future without forgetting its roots, where the ancient craft of the winemaker blends with new, sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
