from Umbria
From Perugia take the E45 to Todi and then the SS448 towards Orvieto. Just after you cross the bridge over the Tiber you will reach Baschi railway station. Here turn left, following the signs for Castiglione in Teverina, Civitella d’Agliano and La Tana dell’Istrice. Once you reach Castiglione follow the signs for Civitella D'Agliano (straight ahead). 5km further on a right-hand turn leads towards Civitella d'Agliano (another 6km).
from the north
If entering Lazio along the Via Cassia (SR2) from Florence or Sienna, follow signs for Bolsena and Bagnoregio. At Bagnoregio turn right towards Viterbo and then, about 4km further on, turn left following the signs for Civitella d'Agliano (at circa 10km).♦ From the A1 motorway (“autostrada”), leave the A1 at the Orvieto exit and turn left towards Todi and Castiglione in Teverina. 1km further on turn right towards Castliglione in Teverina and Civitella d'Agliano. Pass under the railway bridge and towards Castiglione in Teverina. From here carry straight on following the signs for Civitella d'Agliano.
from the south
Leave the A1 motorway at the Attigliano exit. Turn left after the toll booths and follow the road for 2km until you get to a bridge over the Tiber. Cross the bridge and then take the first turning on the right, following the signs for Alviano, Orvieto, Castiglione in Teverina and Civitella d'Agliano. After circa 15km you will come to a crossroads: here take the turning signposted Civitella d'Agliano. Once you arrive in Civitella d'Agliano drive into the centre of the village, where a signpost points you towards La Tana dell'Istrice. Turn right after the town hall (“Municipio”) and follow the road down and round the corner until you reach the ancient walls of the old town and the archway leading into Piazza Unità d'Italia.

Access to the agriturismo (and the cellars) is via a narrow archway with a steep curve. We suggest you leave your car in front of the roadside cross just outside the archway, and walk the few yards up to the hotel to advise us of your arrival. We will bring your car into the piazza for you. Parking is also available in front of the town hall (“Municipio”) in the centre of the village.
